Meet the Team at School Health Check

Jaheed Khan – Director and Consultant Ophthalmologist

Dear Parent,

My name is Jaheed Khan and I am an ophthalmologist and father of 4 children.

I started School Health Check because I am guilty of not checking my children’s vision or hearing when they were young.

I was just too busy with other things. I never made time at the weekends to visit an optometrist, I assumed my kids’ hearing and speech development was ok. I had a general feeling that my kids were happy on the whole but how do you really know?

I don’t want parents to have to worry about these things and wanted to make these important health checks easier and convenient by doing them in schools.

I hope you find School Health Check useful.

Write to me if you think it has been or you have any ideas to improve what we do. We are always learning…

Best wishes

Jaheed
